Volunteer for Knox is located at Coonara Community House, 22 Willow Rd, Upper Ferntree Gully VIC 3156. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 9:00am-4:00pm. Appointments are essential, please contact us on 0429 968 822 to arrange a time to come in.

Volunteer for Knox
We have put together a four-part toolkit that provides information about good practice in volunteer management.
Justice Connect will guide you through the key positions in a not-for-profit organisation, including the roles and legal duties of committee members and office holders.
Knox Learning Alliance offers quality, low-cost training for all members of the community. The alliance consists of 5 neighbourhood houses located in the City of Knox: Coonara Community House, Community Learning Centre, Mountain District Learning Centre, Orana Neighbourhood House and The Basin Community House. Contact them for a copy of their latest course guide. These neighbourhood houses offer many training programs to help upskill volunteers and volunteer managers at a government subsidised price.
Knox City Council have kindly provided a set of resources to to help you acknowledge your amazing volunteers and recruit new ones.

The choice of how many hours to volunteer is up to you. There are no minimum requirements. Any amount of your time is greatly appreciated. We have a range of regular and one-off volunteering opportunities available.
We will do our best to find a volunteer opportunity that suits your needs. Hours may vary from organisation to organisation.
No experience is necessary. We will discuss your skills and experience with you to ensure that the volunteer opportunities we recommend are suitable.
We will discuss your availability. Some volunteer roles have particular day and time requirements, but usually organisations can be flexible.
