Tilly Aston Award 2024

What are the Tilly Aston Community Awards?

For those who don’t know, the Tilly Aston Community Awards are a recognition program that honours outstanding contributions and achievements within the Aston community. Named after Tilly Aston, a renowned advocate for social causes, these awards aim to celebrate individuals or groups that have demonstrated exceptional dedication, leadership, and positive impact in various aspects of community life.

Volunteer For Knox are happy to not only announce our nomination but also our win in the category of Connecting Communities Champion.

We were honoured, humbled and very excited to have won this award and to be among other fantastic, deserving organisations and individuals.

Volunteer for Knox is a small team of two people with a passion for promotion and advocacy in the volunteer sector. We support many amazing not-for-profit organisations doing incredible work in our community and would like to make a special mention to those who were nominated along side us.
This award honours local groups and organisations demonstrating outstanding commitment to fostering connections and unity within the Aston community. This award specifically celebrates those who have played a pivotal role in promoting inclusivity, collaboration, and social cohesion.
Thank you to Mary Doyle MP for recognising and applauding organisations and individuals in our community. Big thank you to Community Bank Wantirna for your contributions.

We thank our governance team the Knox Learning Alliance and Coonara Community House as our lead agent for you ongoing support and guidance. We would also like to thank Knox City Council not only for our funding but for believing in the importance and value of volunteering in the City of Knox. We are proud that we do volunteering well in Knox!
