The Stringybark Sustainability Festival, held this year on October 15 & 16 focuses on ways to inform and empower the local community to make achievable changes in their daily lives that contribute to a more sustainable way of living. This year's festival theme, Make – Do – Play – Connect champions the resourceful, creative and enterprising aspects of sustainability by focusing on activities that harness the 'maker', 'mover' and 'shaker' among us.

Estimated Time Commitment/Shift Times:
4 Hour Shift - Morning, Midday or Afternoon shifts.
Morning Shift - 9am - 1pm
Midday Shift - 11am - 3pm
Afternoon Shift - 1pm - 5pm
You will be required to attend a Volunteer Induction.

For some positions a Working with Children Check is required.
Meet & greet team: provide friendly and efficient support to festival patrons as they enter and leave the festival to ensure that they have a quality festival experience and return again year after year. Your tasks will include greeting festival patrons as they arrive at the festival, assisting professional cashiers with gate takings and ensuring the smooth transition of patrons through the pedestrian gates by answering any queries.
Site Traffic Control team: As our site traffic and parking team, you will be the quiet achievers behind the scenes who ensure the smooth flow of traffic and transport service during the festival. Your role will include marshalling traffic, assisting with car parking control, providing directions to site holders, assisting with gate control, monitoring pedestrian safety and safely controlling exiting vehicles. Note that for this role the morning shift starts at 8:00am.
Arts & Craft team: A Working with Children Check is required for this position. The arts & craft team engages and interacts with festival patrons to keep the young and young at heart entertained over the festival weekend. As a member of the art & craft team you may be required to assist in a number of tasks such as monitor use of the kids' activities within a designated area, facilitate craft activities, ensuring programmed workshops run on time and assist with other activities that have been organised.
Flying squad: You will be willing to jump in whenever and wherever we're needed to assist the other volunteer teams to get the job done when they might be pressed for time or in need of some extra hands – it's a great way to experience all the action on this great event The roles requires someone who is flexible, adaptable and eager to help out wherever is needed across the festival, whether that is helping out of the gate, directing traffic, keeping the site clean or helping kids with arts and craft.
